The process of renewing our minds is not a a matter of deep introspective nor is it a matter of just replacing our negative thoughts with positive ones. This renewing process involves our relating to God and depending on Him to reveal the lies and teach us what is true. This renewal is possible through the work of the Holy Spirit.
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
