When I Hear the Praises Start

By Keith Green

My son, My son, why are you striving
You can’t add one thing to what’s been done for you
I did it all while I was dying
Rest in your faith, my peace will come to you
For when I hear the praises start
I want to rain upon you
Blessings that will fill your heart
I see no stain upon you
Because you are my child and you know me
To Me you’re only holy
Nothing that you’ve done remains
Only what you do for Me
My child, My child, why are you weeping
You will not have to wait forever
That day and that hour is in My keeping
The day I’ll bring you into Heaven
For when I hear the praises start
My child, I want to rain upon you
Blessing that will fill your heart
I see no stain upon you
Because you are My child and you know me
To me you’re only holy
Nothing that you’ve done remains
Only what you do in Me
My precious bride, the day is nearing
When I’ll take you in My arms and hold you
I know there are so many things that you’ve been hearing
But you just hold on to what I have told you
For when I hear the praises start
My bride, I want to rain upon you
Blessings that will fill your heart
I see no stain upon you
Because you are My child, and you know Me
To me you’re only holy
Nothing that you’ve done will remain
Only what you do for me

Christ Precious

“I daily search for Jesus in my retired devotions. There I tell Him all my heart—in secret groans and cries. He knows what my sighs mean, and what are my fears, and my painful sorrows. There I blush before Him—for my secret sins, and pour out the tear of penitential sorrow. There I utter my bitter complaints—of the disorderly passions I daily feel within me. I lament over the vanity of my thoughts, and spread before His eyes—all my soul’s sores and diseases. I lay myself low in the dust at His feet, and tell Him with humble confusion of face—how much I have done to dishonor Him, how unworthy I am of His notice, and yet how I long for communion with Him.

O when shall these days of sin and temptation, these tedious seasons of absence and distance from my God and Savior—have an end? I breathe out from time to time, the most earnest desires after Him, and after the endearing sensations of His love.”

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (Psalm 42:1-2)

Aging Gracefully

Let's not buy into the lies of the world and have our years and our joy stolen from us. Be useful now, yes, whether you are 24 or 44 or 64... but also let your mind joyfully wander to those future days, when your body may be fading, but your spirit, your wisdom, and your countenance will be all the brighter in shining for the Lord Jesus.

HE THAT IS WITHOUT SIN

The Scribes and Pharisees tried to catch him condoning disobedience to the Law. They brought before him a woman taken in adultery and said, "Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?" Jesus stooped down, writing on the ground with his finger, as though he had not heard them. When they continued asking, he said to them, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." And he continued writing on the ground. Convicted by their own conscience, they left one by one. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?" She said, "No man, Lord." And Jesus said unto her, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

A Woman's Heart

"A Woman's heart should be so lost in God that a man needs to seek Him to find her."

Our Purpose

Believing we are saved primarily to serve God leads to;
trying to do things for God in order to ern His acceptance.
Living from our own strength and ability rather than depending on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Believing God is more interested in our behavior than in a relationship with us, and being spiritual proud based on our performance, abilities, or sacrifice.

Believing the "amzing good news" progressively transforms our lives!

Our purpose and meaning we give to life will change.

Increasingly, our purpose will be to enjoy a love relationship with God. Rather than always trying to avoid pain, we will begin to see problems as opportunities to know God experientially.

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ 9 and become one with him. I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God's law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith. 10 As a result, I can really know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I can learn what it means to suffer with him, sharing in his death.~Philippians 3:8-10 NLT

We Are Deeply and Unconditionally Loved By God!

God's character is one of perfect, unconditional love. This means that God loves us becasue of Who He is, not because of who we are or what we have done. We could never earn or deserve His love, and there is nothing we can do that would cause God to stop loving us.

But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ [the Messiah, the Anointed One] died for us.
~Romans 5:8 Amplified

The very essence of the Gospel is not to get man into Heaven,
but to get God into man!
